Access

 

The visit to the site is completely free of charge.

The following information is intended to help you access it.

From the village of Gavray, to access the castle hill :

 
 

All aboard:

• Take Rue de la Libération.

• Turn left after the Sienne bridge (RD 9).

• then turn right and right again (RD 38, direction "Le Mesnil-Garnier").

 

There is a car park on Rue Haute, 500 metres away, on the left.

 

Visit :

Free access to the site all year round
Guided tours in July/August: duration 1 hour
Groups accepted.

 


Equipment :

Car and motorhome parking, Picnic area.
Parking lot  

on foot :

In front of the town hall, look for the bronze nail embedded in the pavement representing a unicorn.

Follow the identical nails that lead to the castle: this is the "path to the city".

To extend the walk: a topoguide of the footpaths is available at the tourist information office which is located on Place de la Bascule, behind the town hall.
